I am a PhD student in political science at the European University Institute. I was a visiting student at Stanford University sponsored by the Fulbright-Schuman Program, and also spent a term at the London School of Economics.
I am interested in how group conflict shapes political development, with a regional focus on South Africa and the United States. My research examines why societies institutionalize social control over low-status groups, and what weakens public support for such systems.
I hold a Bachelor's degree from the University of Liverpool and a Master's degree from King's College London, both in political economy.
